“Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it.” -Mark Jenkin

I travel to stretch my own limits, learn, grow, experience local cuisine, and find hidden gems one cannot necessarily read about online or experience on a tour. I want to truly soak in a different culture and learn what their idea of slow living is, and then take  a sliver of that with me to incorporate it into my own life. I believe travel is more accessible than ever before , and a wonderful learning tool if done right. I am more of a budget traveler than anything, and that comes from being a financial planner who doesn’t want to see a dollar go to waste.

When I travel, I foster an appreciation of both an  imperfect, beautiful world-at-large and mornings on my sunny  front porch in Georgia.

Below is a list of links to blog posts and guides to just a few places I have visited over the years. I hope to post more about our travels in 2018! Our next adventure is to Ecuador in May 2018.
